Norbert J. Falbo, age 79, of Toledo, passed away on August 15th, 2011. He was born in Toledo on April 4th, 1932 to the late Carmello and Verna (Konzcal) Falbo.
Norbert married Dorothy M. Savage (Witte) on May 27th, 1976 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was employed by Amerisource Corp.,retiring in 1998 after 50 years of service. Norm enjoyed fishing and belonged to Merckle Farley Fishing Club. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Maumee and the Walter Weller VFW Post. He loved to read and was an avid coin collector for many years. Norm was a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country proudly from 1951–1953, during the Koran Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Norm was preceded in death by his sisters, Leona Keefe and Annette Becker; brothers, Carmello, Anthony and Andrew and first wife, Carolyn Tarsek. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Dorothy; daughters, Elaine and Julie Savage; granddaughters, Tiffany Renee (Mark) Beebe and Mallory Lynn Brown; great-grandson, Ashton Winfield Beebe, whom he was so proud of, and sister, Rose Cooper of California.
It was Norm's wish to be cremated and the family is abiding with those wishes.
The family will recieve guests Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to HNWO, 800 S. Detroit Ave., Toledo, OH 43609 in Norm's memory.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care they provided for Norm.
