Nellie C. DeAnda, age 50, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, after a long courageous battle. She was born on December 19, 1955 to Collins and Edna (Robinson) Mallernee in Toledo. Nellie was employed with Daimler Chrysler for 30 years until retiring in July of 2006. Nellie was very caring, generous and loving, always lending a helping hand to someone. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Yenor and brother, Eddie Robinson, Sr. Nellie is survived by her loving daughter: Melodye (Robert Flick) DeAnda; grandsons: Jacob, Joshua, Robert Jr. and baby Daniel on the way; mother: Edna Robinson; sisters: Carol A. Price and Linda Ruetz; brother: Richard Robinson; special loving friend: James "O.J." Szymanski; aunt: Ella Bea Andrews; nieces: Ami (Aziz) Brihoum, Tracy Price and Crystal Robinson; nephews: David (Sophia) Schwieterman, Eddie Robinson, Jr., Beau Ruetz, Andy Ruetz, Richard Robinson, Jr. and Anthony Robinson; and cousin: Mike Matzinger.
The family will receive guests on Friday, November 10, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) from 3 – 8:00 p.m.
