Nellie M. Armentrout

Nellie M. Armentrout, age 84, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 10, 2022 with loving family by her side. She was born on September 11, 1937 to Melvin and Janet Lambert in Rig, West Virginia. Nellie enjoyed taking casino trips and was an avid bingo player. She liked working in her yard and tending to her rose bushes. Nellie loved to read a good romance novel. She was always very proud of all her grandchildren. Nellie's smile, feistiness and caring nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Armentrout, Sr.; grandson, Shawn Armentrout; great-grandson, Levi Armentrout; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers. Left to cherish Nellie's memory are her children, Terry (Sharon) Armentrout, Linda (Mike) Daum, Ray (Wendy) Armentrout, Shelly (Cole) Schetter, Tina (Jerry) Winters and Donald E. "J.R." Armentrout, Jr.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Lowell) Kuhl and Judy (Rick) Bolton; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
