Nathaniel Doss, Sr.

Nathaniel "Nate" Doss, Sr., age 78, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1933 to Edward and Lualma (Walker) Doss in McNair, Mississippi. Nate was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly. He worked in the Real Estate business since 1972, as a broker and a consultant. Nate was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, he served on the Boards of Directors of Connecting Point and was also the former Chairman of the Ohio Small Business Development Committee. He was an excellent cook, often watching Food Network. Nate loved Western movies and shows; especially John Wayne. He enjoyed fishing and watching boxing. Nate was a very dedicated, hardworking, loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Doss. Nate is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eulodia "Gloria" Doss; children, Nathaniel (Christina) Doss, Jr., Lisa (Milton) Weidman, Greg (Heather) Doss, Anita (Terry) Futrell and Patrick Doss; grandchildren, Nathaniel III, Joseph (Alyssa), Derrick (Maria), Tyler, Christian, Tristian, Princeton, Illaya, Tyra (Rudy), Maurice, Erica, Tiffany, Gregory Miguel Jr., Greg M., Jordan, Brendan, Austin, Sha'Honna (Lee), Kara (Antoine), Michael (Bernadine) and Justin; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel IV, Xavier, Kynjel, Daisja, Aaron, Skhyler, Madelyn Grace, Derrick Jr., Marisol, Briana, Sofia, Gavin, Miles, Christopher, Tre'Von, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Bradley, Cadyen, Ijanae and Sah'riah; and Uncle Roosevelt Robertson.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m.
