Nannie Ruth Ridley

Nannie "Ruth" Ridley, age 67, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born September 13th, 1942 to George and Bertha (Broyles) in Gatliff, Kentucky. Ruth enjoyed playing Bingo and all kinds of card games. She was a talented seamstress creating many striking fashions for her family over the years. Ruth was a member of New Harvest Church and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Ridley and siblings, Alsace Sexton; Lizzie Roberts; Roxie Sherwood; J.L. and Jerry Childress; Carrie Davenport;. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Charles (Rachelle); Barbara; Jada; Jacob (Brooke); George and Jason (Bridget) Ridley and Tanya (Michael) Streeter; siblings, Estella "Babe" Rogers; Pearl Shelley; Clint (Phyllis); Bill (Diane) and Ted (Linda) Childress. Also surviving is a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, 2730 Fulton St. where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Officiating Pastor Chester Trail. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
