Nancy C. Schade

Nancy Carol Schade, age 93, passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice Residence on April 22nd, 2018. "Carol" was born on September 5th, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio to Clara and Benjamin Jadczak and attended Woodward High School. She was a stay at home mom, loved animals, and volunteered at the Toledo Zoo where she fed baby orangutans. The neighborhood cats knew where to go for daily food and water. Carol especially loved her cat Katy. We all knew she was watching Wheel of Fortune at 7:00 p.m. In Carol's younger days she bowled, did ceramics and was a member of the Choir Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Schade; son, Larry and daughter, Linda. Nancy Carol is survived by her children, John W. II (Dee), Joyce, Joanne, Gordon (Vickey), Mike (Sue), Ralph (Colleen), Jackie (Don) and Caroline (Dale); 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

At Carol's request Services will be Private. Newcomer – Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Genacross Lutheran Home at Wolfcreek, the Toledo Hospital and Ebeid Hospice for their comfort and care they provided during our mom's final days.

Memorial tributes may be given to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter or the Toledo Zoo.
