Weeping Willows
Like a weeping willow in Springtime
your beauty amazes, your grace is memorizing
your branches, they call to us "come and play"
sturdy and strong, you protect us
from the world.
In the summer your shade is our comfort
your branches our support,
each leaf a testimonial of the love
you hold for us all.
We share secrets and tears, laughter
and fears, and in your whistling branches
you tell us to be strong, you will love us endlessly.
With Fall brings changes both magical
and clear, your leaves change their colors
as the sun disappears.
The beauty you possess is clear now, you've grown.
We are all much stronger from the lessons we
were shown.
In Winter with it's heartbreak, you've
shown us all one thing,
don't weep my weeping willows, there
will always be a Spring.
