Nadine Banks, age 73, of Toledo, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at the University Of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on August 18, 1934 to Silas and Mattie (Jackson) Williams in Postell, Arkansas. Nadine was a Missionary Evangelist for over 50 years. She was very spiritual and touched many people's lives worldwide until she became too ill to continue her travels. Nadine was a very compassionate, caring, loving person who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie Dennis, Jr. and L.C. Banks, daughter, Lisa D. Williams and brother, Clarence Williams. Nadine is survived by her grandson, Justin Williams; sisters, Lonzell Foster, Ruby (R.C.) Foster, Rebecca (Don) Pellum, Evelyn Hall, Morristine Hardy and Joette Jarmon; brothers, Silas, Jr. (Polly), Wellington (Ruby), Oscar, Ray (Veronica) and Therman (Mary) Williams; special daughter, Tonya (Hazen) Bishop; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Holiness Church of God in Christ, 3319 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
