Muriel Gladys Davis, age 64, of Toledo, took her flight to heaven Sunday, September 7th, 2008 surrounded by her family. She arrived April 17, 1944 in Toledo. Muriel worked for GM Power Train, Toledo Plant for 19 1/2 years, retiring in 2000. She was also a member of the UAW Local 14 and a longtime member of Indiana Missionary Baptist Church.
Muriel was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Brooks; father, Anthony Neely; stepfather, Francis Brooks; son, Anthony Allen and former husband, Harold Davis. She is survived by her children, Cozetta (Joe) Allen; Robert "Rocky" (Comesha) Allen and Richard "Rick" Hadley, all of Toledo; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Roberson of Chattham Ontario, Canada and Kathryn "Kay" Daniels of Detroit, MI and special nephews, Russell and Martin Vardiman.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300.) Wake Services will be Friday from 12-1:00 p.m. at Indiana Missionary Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave with the Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Officiant Dr. John E. Roberts. Interment in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
