Mozelle Berry

Mozelle Berry was born in Hawthorne, Oklahoma, on September 17, 1936. She was the only child. She met and married, George Henderson Berry and they became the parents of 10 children. She was very well known and loved by many. Everyone called her mama, even people that was older than her. She accepted Christ at an early age. Mozelle loved to work and go to the casino. She worked at various restaurants as a district manager and a supervisor for NODC (Northwest Ohio Development Center) in Toledo. She was loved by so many, especially her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Berry, Sr.; mother, Margie Stovall; son, Robert Berry; daughter, Regina Berry; and grandsons, Lavone Berry, Michael Berry.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her eight children, George Berry Jr. (Larry), Pearl Berry (Pookie), Renee Berry, Denise Thomas (Dave), William Berry, Andrea Berry (Lenore), Toby Berry, and Leo Berry; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with the service at 11:00 am. 

A special acknowledgement for Toby, Denise, and Dave for all the care they gave her. Thank you all.
