Mother Susie Hill

Susie Hill, age 95 of Toledo was called to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. She was born April 16, 1915 to Elijah and Della (Abner) Wilson in Clanton, Alabama. Susie was a past member of Zion Church of God in Christ, Trinity Faith Tabernacle, Your Revival Center Church, Tabernacle of Faith and currently a member of The Body of Christ Fellowship. She knew that in this life you needed to have a good relationship and fellowship with God. When her grandchildren would come to visit her while she was sick, Susie would be sure to ask them, "How is your relationship with God?" Her love for Christ and for her family were the two most significant parts of her life.

Left to cherish Susie's memory is her sister, Thelma Moore; son, Steven (Regina) Hill; seven daughters, Betty (Sylvester) Jackson, Carol Odom, Diane (Willie) Grace, Marlene Hill-Powell, Darlene (Herbert) Vaughn, Linda (George) Jones and Deborah Hill; 13 grandchildren, a host of very special great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.

The family will receive guests Monday from 11:30 a.m.- Noon at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Ave. Funeral Services will begin at Noon on Monday at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Peggy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
