Morris E. Berry

Morris E. Berry passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice Center on the campus of Flower Hospital on March 1, 2014. He retired from the railroad after thirty eight years of service to the Toledo area. Morris was from Swanton, Ohio where he lived with his wife, Doris until her passing in 2009. They were married sixty years. Morris was an avid fisherman and hunter. His sons and grandsons enjoyed many hunting trips with him over the years. His hobby was to do intarsia (pictures made out of natural wood). He was a fan of football, his team, University of Michigan.

Morris was the father of five children, Shelly A. (Jerry) Davis, Susan J. (Robert) Fagerman, who preceded him in death in 2007, Deborah L. (John) Parker, Kevin A. (Aileen) Berry and Robert V. (Jenny) Berry; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

There will be a gathering of family and friends Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Per Morris' wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family would like all donations to the Cherry Street Mission.
