Misty Lynn (Cabell) Waldon, age 43, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with her two oldest daughters by her side. She was born on December 11, 1977 to Archie and Lena (Rogers) Cabell in Racine, Wisconsin. Misty worked for over 25 years as a nurse's aide at multiple care facilities, mainly with ProMedica. During her career she received multiple awards for Nurse Aide of the Year. Misty always had a personal compassion for her patients, which made her excel in her job. Her passion became fitness in the late 90's. Misty became a fitness mentor, taught classes and competed in body building competitions. She enjoyed uplifting others in all aspects of life. Misty was a die-hard Prince fan and loved the Lord. Her children and fur baby were most important to her. Misty cherished any time spent with them. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Morse Cabell, Wallace Cabell and Archie Cabell, Jr. Left to cherish Misty's memory are her loving children, Kai Cabell, Deja Waldon, Tyra Waldon and Antonia Waldon; mom, Lena Cabell; siblings, Katie Overton, Anna McDonald, Marlena (Carl) Gilmore, Thomas McFarland, George Cabell, Eric Cabell, James Cabell, Tracy (Joni) Cabell, Ronald Cabell, Anthony Cabell, and twin Matthew (Traci) Cabell; fur baby, Kobe; in-laws, Charles and Judith Waldon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of God, 3016 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo 43610 with visitation in church from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
