Betty J. Michaels, age 67, passed away on October 11, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her Father, James Thornton; Mother, Geneva Fields; Brother, Richard Thornton and Sister, Patricia Matthews.
She leaves behind her Husband, Rufus Earl Michaels; Children, Laura A. Ramsey, Jerome Ramsey, Lisa (Eric) Thornton-Thomas, Robert (Angela) Thornton, Janette Thornton, Anthony Thornton; Siblings, Jeffery Newbill, Cynthia (Terry) Johns, Terry (Sheila) Ramsey, James (fiancé, Gail) Thornton; 25 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; Best Friend, Yolanda Griswold; grand-dog, Bella.
Betty was Head Missionary for her church, Truth in Jesus Apostolic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading and puzzles. Betty's family will miss her homemade mac 'n cheese, oxtail soup and yeast rolls. She liked traveling and sightseeing. Betty loved watching and spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially her great-grandbabies.
The Wake Service will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with Homegoing Services starting at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614. Officiating will be Overseer Geneva Baber.
