Miriam Bruen

Miriam Ann Bruen, age 89, of Toledo, passed away peacefully November 28, 2014 in her home. Miriam was born October 11, 1925 in Pandora, Ohio to Elmer and Christine (Reddington) Nussbaum. She was employed with the American States Insurance Company for more than 15+ years retiring in 1985. Miriam was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Miriam was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Edwin Bruen, brothers Richard and Gerald Nussbaum and S.R. Mary Dorothy Nussbaum RSM. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Bruen, sons George (Lou), Larry, Ken and Kevin (Kathleen), sisters, Rita Agner, Kathryn Wischmeyer and Ursula Alt, brothers John (Dolly) Nussbaum and Charles (Judy) Nussbaum, Sisters in Law Helene Kilcorse, Beatrice Bruen, Carolyn Nussbaum and Helen Nussbaum, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane (419-475-4348). Mass will begin Saturday at 12:00 pm. followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice in Miriam's memory.
