Minerva Olivia Cardenas

Minerva Olivia Cardenas, aged 31, passed away on December 19 2024 at St. Vincent's hospital. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Minerva Olivia Cardenas was born on February 27th 1993 in Tiffin, Ohio. She grew up in Fostoria, Ohio and moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1997. She went to Waite High School and was an employee of Norplas. 

Minerva was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with her family, sharing stories, playing games, just having a good time laughing and hanging out. Her laughter just made you laugh and was contagious. She loved online gaming with her nieces and nephews. She had a big heart and was always there to support and encourage, no matter what challenges you faced and she was facing. 

In her free time, Minerva enjoyed Xbox live online gaming, listening to music, and watching anime. She was also a collector. Her collection consisted of Pop, anime, and her favorite gaming figures. She touched so many people, friends from all over from the Xbox live gaming community. She was always eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Minerva loved being creative, going out to eat and definitely had her own style and wasn't afraid of showing her individuality. 

Minerva Olivia Cardenas is survived by her loving parents, Gilbert Gomez Cardenas and Ofelia Mary Cardenas (DeLaRosa); her sisters, Naomi O. Johnson (Edward), Leticia R. Munguia and Adelina M. Cardenas; nieces, Taylor J. Johnson, Mercedes M. Cardenas, Isabel R. Perez and Nayeli M. Powell; and nephews, Marcello C. Perez and Jaiden E. Johnson. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her near and far. 

The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, from 4:00 pm until a Sharing of Memories at 6:00 pm.
