Mildred M. Thompson, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born December 23, 1936 to John and Cindy (Harp) Griffith. Mildred was a wise woman and she was deeply rooted with her faith and family values. Her family was very important to her and she often put their needs before her own.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, George (Carol) Thompson, Cathy (Eddie) Lawson, Garry Thompson, Laura Lawson and Lisa (Ron) Cline; 17 precious grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and very special niece, Diane Peace. Her loving huband, Billie G. Thompson preceded her in death on June, 12, 2009.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
