Mildred "Doris" Miller

Mildred "Doris" Miller, age 77 of Toledo passed away Monday, April 25th, 2005 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. She was born August 8th, 1927 to William and Mildred (Berry) Bell in Lexington, Georgia. Doris was employed in the office at Jeep for 28 years retiring in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and most importantly she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jesse Whiteaker; grandparents, William and Nettie Sue Berry; grandson, Gregory Tabbert; brother, Kenny Whiteaker; sister, Evelyn Reed and brother-in-law, Earl Birr. Doris is survived by her loving husband, Clair E. Miller; children, Linda (Richard) Tabbert; Curtis Clark and Pamela (Richard) Gartee; stepchildren, Mike (Cindy) Miller; Barbara (Roger) Benham; Larry (Marsha) Miller and Jenny Miller; 12 grandchildren and soon to be 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Selma (Domer) Long; Barbara Birr and Joann (John) Hetherington; brothers, Robert (Marlene) Whiteaker and Emmett (Pat) Whiteaker.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

A special thanks to Michelle Pokroff and nurse "Drea" of Arbors of Sylvania and the entire staff and volunteers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care and support they provided for Doris and her family.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 1-5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 5-9:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry S. Craig. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
