Mildred Evelyn Bollinger Kuhn, age 98, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in her home. She was born on May 10, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ruth Mae (Breitner) and Rudolph Bollinger. She was a 1939 graduate of Woodward H.S. She played the accordion with the Trick Brothers over the radio in the late 30s. She also was the first woman in Ohio to play an electric guitar when she had to test one while working in a music store.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Donald (Marjorie) Kuhn and Douglas (Marie) Kuhn; daughters, Carole Lutes and Karen (Kris) Walen; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Kuhn; sisters, Dorothy Benore and twin sister, Marie Breier; brother, Robert Bollinger; daughter, Patricia Russell; son, Dale Kuhn; sons-in-law, Frederick Lutes and John Russell; daughter-in-law, Margo Finkbeiner Kuhn and great-grandson, Calvin "Bud" Russell.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses from Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Memorials may also be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
