Mildred E. "Millie" Hundsrucker, age 90, of Sylvania, passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 at Harborside of Sylvania. She was born on October 26, 1915 to William and Theresa (Krummnow) Butzin in Rocky Ridge, OH.
Millie graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1933 and married William E. Hundsrucker on July 7, 1941. In addition to raising a family, Millie worked at Libbey Glass in the 1930's and was employed as a sales clerk with Lamsons department store for many years then with Rainey's Draperies until she retired in 1984. Millie enjoyed cooking and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and taking care of them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hundsrucker, and two brothers Melvin and Alfred Butzin. Millie is survived by her loving sons: William, Ronald and Dennis Hundsrucker; grandchildren: Kelly (Chris) Wilson, Stacy Hundsrucker, Tracy (E.J.) Fortain, Craig Hundsrucker, and Doug (Michele) Sine; great-grandchildren: Emma Fortain, Mathew and Michael Sine.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 20, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300) from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis E. Lauman. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
