Mildred F. "Phoebe" Hodge, beloved wife and mother for 57 years, passed away quietly on January 19, 2017 due to complications of severe respiratory condition.
She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky January 16, 1938, the second of fourteen children. She was married to James L. Hodge on February 21, 1959 and lived in Toledo, Ohio until 1989 when she moved to Casselberry, Florida. Phoebe was employed at Bob Evans for 15 years.
Phoebe is survived by her husband, James L. Hodge; sons, James E. (Mary L.) and Thomas M. Hodge; grandchildren, Jason T. Hodge and Heather (Greg) Westrick; great-grandchildren, Brieanan and Mackenzie; brothers, Cecil Binion, Jr., Jeff Binion and Chris Binion; sister, Hattie Grubb and many, many nieces and nephews and their children. She loved her family very much.
She enjoyed many things in her life including gardening, quilting and riding a motorcycle behind her husband for many miles, including trips through the Smoky Mountains and Virginia to name a few.
The family will receive guests, Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
