Mildred A. Edwards

Mildred A. Edwards, age 94, of Toledo, passed away February 5, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. She was born November 17, 1923 in Stem, North Carolina to Walter and Ava (Pegram) Gooch. She was employed with the Colony Restaurant for more than years 20 years retiring in 1987. Mildred was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church for over 60 years. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mildred will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Gary A. Edwards and Randy K. (fiancé, Charlene Bachmayer) Edwards; granddaughter, Kendra (David) Bean and great-grandson, Liam Bean. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Edwards; son, Douglas C. Edwards; grandson, Phillip Edwards and siblings, Huey, John, Frances, Josephine, Florence "Byrd" and Ellen.

The family will receive guests Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 am at the Memorial Lutheran Church, 3215 Douglas Road, Toledo, Ohio. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
