Mildred C. Mckinzey

Mildred C. McKinzey, age 85, of Ann Arbor, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Evangelical Home of Saline, Michigan. She was born on September 5, 1926 to Louis and Maude (Risner) Rector in Florence, Alabama. Mildred loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKinzey; son-in-law, John Lynch; brother, Bud Rector; sisters, Ruby Riley and Mary Peters; granddaughter, Karan; and grandson, Jerry. Mildred is survived by her loving children, Paulette (Jeremy) Schonsheck, Sue Lynch, Betty (Mac) Dixon and Paul (Brenda) McKinzey; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, John, Brad, Larry, Terry, Redina, Linda and Yvette; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister, Joyce Arnold.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 1 – 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
