Milas "Randy" Adkins, age 75, of Toledo, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on January 17, 1946 to Milas and Evelyn Adkins in Toledo. Randy was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He did auto body repair and trick paint for many years. Randy then went on to become a licensed barber. He was a huge car enthusiast, most known for his Candy Apple 76' Corvette. Randy was also known for looking like Kenny Rogers and telling "great stories".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Stanley Yurkewitch; and sister, Debbie Keil-DeLuca. Randy is survived by his children, Darlene Cox, Melissa (Daniel) Sprague, Randy Adkins, and Keith "Worst Baby Ever" (Chris) Adkins; grandchildren, Jessica, Tamara, Alexandria, Izabella, Mitchell, Brandon, August, Madison, Colin, and Lyla; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Gina Holt and Michael Yurkewitch; and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
