Michelle Petrey

Michelle "Shell" Petrey, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at home. She was born on March 20, 1986 to Cherie Abalos and Michael Petrey, Sr. in Toledo. Michelle loved dogs. She was a people person and could light up any room she walked into. Michelle loved spending time with her family, especially her niece. She had a huge heart and was always helping others. Michelle's laugh, smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ray Petrey Jr.; and grandmother, Bessie Wright. Michelle is survived by her father, Michael Sr. (Renee) Petrey; sister, Misty Petrey; niece, Daviya Larkett; Papaw, Eldon (Lois) Petrey Sr.; aunts and uncles, Carol DeMoe, Sandy (Jed) Moskwa, Darlene (Bernie) Stuard, Charlene (Nick) Meisner, Charles (Cathy) DeMoe, Holly Sayre, Rick (Tonya) DeMoe, Kim (Ryan) Braden, Melonie DeMoe, Randy Petrey, Krista LaFountain and Eldon Petrey, Jr.; special cousin, Jessica Bridge; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 2 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
