Michael Kenneth Whitmer, age 67, passed on September 20, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1950 to the late Pearl and Kenneth Whitmer in Toledo, Ohio.
Mike played softball for the city of Toledo for 22 years. He was a Body Man and Painter by trade. Mike was a self-taught guitar player and enjoyed music. He loved fishing, drag-racing and spending time on the boat with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Linda; children, Michael II (Denise) and Michelle (Dan) Gilbert; grandchildren, Destiny, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Michael III, Olivia, Louden; great-granddaughter, Scarlett; sister-in-law, Emma Jane (Darrell) Maidlow; Aunt Linda Berry-Garcia; sisters, Donna and Barb.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
