Michael W. Way, age 91, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Toledo Hospital, where he was surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born November 20, 1921 in Toledo to Anna and Pat Way. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. One of his first jobs was a butcher at Serowski's and later on in life he delivered flowers for Bartz Viviano. He loved family functions, his dog, Kaydell and old cars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine R. Way and daughter, Deborah A. Simpson. He is survived by his daughters, Dianna (Don) Farnsworth, Yvonne (Doug) Booth and Kimberly Way-Packo; son-in-law, Dr. R.G. Packo; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 3-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
