Michael W. England, age 67, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania surrounded by his family. He was born on November 27, 1946, in Toledo to Margaret (Mulkey) and Glenn England.
Mike was a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker for well over 30 years, with the last 16 years with Fiat Chrysler. His experience ranged from Class A automotive panel dies to deep drawn shells for the appliance industry. Mike worked in all aspects of the die build including servicing and repair. He was a passionate and dependable worker adored by his co-workers, and supervision alike.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was generous, patient and kind to everyone he came in contact with and had the most amazing sense of humor. Mike's hobbies were reading, all aspects of music, especially guitars (buying them and playing them), and fishing. He was always happy to lend a sympathetic ear, and offer advice when needed.
Mike's greatest passion was spending time with his family. His family always came first. He loved crafting with the grandkids, sharing his love of music and playing board games with them.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret A. England; father, Glenn England; and grandparents, Carl and Alice Schaumburg and Kenneth Mulkey.
Mike will be dearly missed by his loving daughters, Kimberly (Steve) Rutkowski and Dawn (David) Scurlock; friend and mother of his children, Helen E. England; grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas and Molly Rutkowski and Kaitlyn and Ryan Scurlock.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
