Michael Nowak, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed on August 27, 2024 in his hometown of Toledo, OH, at the age of 76. Born on October 8, 1947, in Toledo, Michael dedicated much of his life to his craft as a printer and pressman, marking an extensive career that began with two apprenticeships which led him to become a journeyman pressman. Notably, he retired from the Toledo Blade newspaper in 2008, where he made significant contributions to the publication industry.

Michael was known for his kind and welcoming nature. He was the entertainer of the family, a beacon of light who always engaged with others, effortlessly lifting their spirits until the very end. His ability to connect with people and bring joy to those around him will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike. He always enjoyed watching his favorite sport, Hockey. Michael was an avid fan of the Detroit Redwings and Toledo Walleye. Michael loved Michigan state as well. He was a lover of all things aviation, astronomy and weather. During the summer months, Michael enjoyed taking care of the family pool. Most family game nights, you could find Michael playing cards with his wife.

Michael was married to Martha for 47 years, having celebrated their anniversary just the day before his passing. He leaves behind a loving wife, whose life was deeply intertwined with his in shared memories and experiences. He is also survived by three sons: Stephen Hosken, Michael (Meredith) Nowak Jr., and Christopher (Madi Bosak) Nowak. The family continues to cherish the joy of Michael's presence through his grandchildren, Abigail and Nikolai, who brought him immense pride and happiness. Michael also leaves behind a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael is also remembered by his siblings, including his brother, James (Mary Reddington) Nowak. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Nowak, brother John (Diane) Nowak, whose memory will also be honored within the family.

The legacy of Michael Nowak will endure through the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, whose lives were enriched by his kindness and genuine spirit.
