Michael "Mickey" A. Reed

Michael Allen Reed, known to all as "Mickey," passed away on July 14, 2024. He leaves behind his sister, Lynell Tuggle; cousin, Howard Lewis of Tennessee; sons, Michael and Gary Reed; grandsons, Nicholas and Robby Reed and their children; his beloved wife, Denise Reed; and his stepchildren, Serena Thomas and Phillip Markell, Jr.

Mickey drove a semi-truck fro over 42 years for Carolina Trucking then to ABF Trucking before retiring. He went by the trucker handle "Tennessee Polecat." As a dad, he gave his kids love, encouragement and support, always being there for his family. Family was the world to him. He had a passion for sports, particularly NASCAR and football, he always enjoyed watching a good NASCAR race. He loved old classic cars and trucks, taking care of his lawn, woodworking, and building all sorts of crafts. Mickey enjoyed his dogs, Bitty Bell and Bella, and feeding the squirrels. He loved to spend time with his wife antiquing and taking rides around the countryside. Mickey was a chatter box once you got him talking, especially over a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. He taught his children to be kind and respectful to all, to take care of each other, and to love your family and friends. Mickey will be missed by all and never forgotten. Don't forget the good memories that you shared with him.
