Michael L. Griffith

Michael L. Griffith, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center where he was surrounded by his loving family. Michael now resides in Heaven with his beloved wife, Kay J. (Kenoyer) Griffith. He was born on March 23, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Everett and Lena (Ruth) Griffith.

For twenty-two and half years, Michael proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, including three tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Later retiring as a MSgt of Marines. Michael's only passions could be found in service to his country and to his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michelle (Rev. William G.) Keen, Sr., Mark (Terri) Griffith and Keith (Inga) Griffith; grandchildren, Sheena Kadi, Sgt. Joseph O. Kadi, Jr., Bonnie Hastings and Keith Michael Griffith and great-grandson, Ryan Slifer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay J.; sister, Sue Harden.

A Memorial Service will be held for Michael on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Church of God, 3520 Strayer Rd. Maumee, OH 43537. A fellowship luncheon will be provided following his Memorial Service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Michael's name.
