Michael J. Garrison

Michael J. Garrison, age 68, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family and his dog, Holly. He was born January 10, 1957 in Toledo to Richard and Caryl (Brailey) Garrison. Mike served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was aboard the USS MIDWAY and spent time in the Philippines and Japan. Mike worked for the City of Toledo until he retired. 

Mike was the best Papa. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with his grandchildren, cheering them on at soccer and t-ball games, talking about their football games, and taking Trey to concerts. Mike loved the outdoors. He always looked forward to his fishing trips to Canada and deer hunting. He was the best cook! If you wanted a great meal, his house was the place to go. Mike was a huge Ohio State football fan and he never left the house without his Buckeyes hat. He was so excited when they won the National Championship Game this year. He also really enjoyed trips to MIS and watching Nascar. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his former father in law, Florian Kowalinksi, and his brother in law, James Lehmann; He is survived by his wife, Michelle Garrison; step children, James Sutphin, and Nichole (Sidney) Armstead; his former wife Cindy Garrison and their daughters, Haylee (Adam) Werner, Lindsey (Tim) Boudreau; bonus son, Randy (Tammy) Janes, grandchildren, Trey, Tyson, Ryan, Madelyn, Colt, Caven, Archer, Sidney, Aminah, Samantha and Liam; and sisters, Angela Lehmann, Deb Chapman; and brothers, Keith (Mary) Morningstar, Richard Garrison, Dave Chapman, Doug Chapman & Dan Chapman; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Following Mike's wishes there will be no viewing or services. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veteran's of America in Michael's memory.
