Michael "Mike" F. Frenzell, age 73, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Hickory Ridge Nursing Home. Mike was born November 6, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Morris and Joan (Varner) Frenzell.
Mike attended Rosary Cathedral grade school, St. Francis de Sales High School. Following graduation, he continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he received two Bachelor's, and his Master's from Heidelberg University. Mike proudly served in the Air National Guard for over 14 years.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Toledo.
Mike enjoyed traveling to Bed and Breakfasts at various locations and liked taking fishing trips with his father.
He worked at Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Services, formerly called, Rescue Crisis, where he retired after 32 years of services as a licensed professional clinical counselor and health officer.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving siblings, Linda (Michael) Gaudaen, John Frenzell and Jim (Lynn) Frenzell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his two nephews, Christopher and Michael Gaudaen.
Family and friends may gather at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am. Following Mass, Mike will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
