Michael Scott England, born to Warren and Janet England on October 16, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 21, 2023.
Mike was a 1962 graduate of Sylvania High School. After high school, Mike attended Ohio University, where he was a member of the ROTC. On April 15, 1965, Mike enlisted in the United States Army. Shortly after he was deployed to Vietnam, he was a Chief Warrant Officer II and piloted an OV-1 Mohawk. During his time of service, Mike received many commendations including a Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Purple Heart.
On October 9, 1971, Mike married Joan (Schiel) and together they had two daughters, Kristen and Erica. Mike was an avid reader as well as a lifetime member of the NRA and Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Mike loved spending time with his family and friends; he was always up for a good party and had many stories he loved to share.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Joan; daughters, Kristen Griffin (Jennfier Rhodes), and Erica DeShano (Matt); bonus daughter, Catie Stockslager; granddaughter, Bailey Griffin (Goose Goobi); and his brother, Craig England.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
