Michael "Mike" Domanski, age 60, of Holland, Ohio, passed away, Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 5, 1947 to Stanley and Sophie (Idzikowski) Domanski in Toledo, Ohio. Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Black Swamp Wood Carvers where he also served as treasurer for many years. Mike was an avid golfer and played on the Ameritech Golf League and also volunteered at the LPGA. He volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity and was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Through the church Mike was a member of the Scout Masters and the Holy Name Society. He loved Jimmy Buffett and was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Mike was loved by many and had a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Domanski. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Diane (Osinski) Domanski; children: Karen (Christopher) Masters, Renee (Michael) Bull and Michael (Amy) Domanski; he was a loving & attentive Dzia Dzia to his grandchildren: Madelaine, Ryan and Brett Masters and Hilary Domanski; brothers: Stanley, James (Carol) and David Domanski.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 3 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4555 North Haven, Toledo. Officiating will be Fr. Gary Walters. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
