Michael Edward DiMauro, age 46, of Maumee, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on November 17, 2018. Michael was born January 21, 1972 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Carol (DonVito) DiMauro.
Following his high school graduation in 1991 Michael joined the Navy where he served four years. He graduated from the Ohio Diesel Technical School in Cleveland and began his career working on generators. He has been working with Cummins Bridgeway for almost 25 years.
He met and married Tara and they shared 18 years together. The best day of his life was welcoming his little princess Isabella into the world in 2004. The two share an incredible bond and spent countless hours cooking, gardening, and swimming together. Michael is a very proud father and attended all of Bella's dance and cheer competitions. Although he was allergic to cats he kept them anyways for Bella loved them.
His other passions were cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and binge watching Star Trek. He loved entertaining and feeding his family and friends. Michael was full of laughter and always had a new joke to share. He spent many nights enjoying the fire outside on summer evenings and shooting off fireworks. He enjoyed caring for his pool and abundant gardens where he spent many evenings after work. Michael was always willing to help friends and neighbors and will be greatly missed in the community.
His memory will be cherished by his Wife, Tara B DiMauro, Step- Son, Alexander Berger; Daughter, Isabella DiMauro; Father, John DiMauro; Mother, Carol (DonVito) DiMauro; Brother, Richie DiMauro; Sisters, Lori (Mike) Arnett, Cindy (Justin) Mikula, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419) 381-1900.
A public visitation will also be held at Chambers Funeral Home, 86 Adalbert St, Berea, OH 44017 216-251-6566 on Sunday, November 25, 2018. The family will receive guests from 2:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. with a service to be held at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations made in Michaels's name to the American Heart Association and a Veterans Organization of your choice.
