Michael G. Davis

Michael G. Davis, born in Toledo, Ohio on April 19, 1948 to Carl and Olive (Duvall) Davis and passed away on November 13, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Mike worked at A&P during his high school years. At eighteen he was hired at LOF/Pilkington NA Rossford. Mike retired after 50 years of dedicated employment. He always loved parties, made many friends and enjoyed his many pet dogs throughout the years. Mike also loved cars, particularly Mopars. He and his older brother Bud took their nephew and raced at Milan and Norwalk Speedways and were the winners of several trophies. Mike played football when he was young and was on the softball team Cromwell's into his late thirties. He was an avid and long-suffering sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Toledo Mudhens. Mike also loved fishing and was out on the lake any chance he got with whoever his first mate that day would be; mostly his brother and grandson. Their successful boat outings usually culminated in many family perch fish fry parties throughout the years.

Mike is survived by a loving wife and best friend, Dee Davis; eldest brother, Robert (Judy) Davis; younger brother, Patrick (Colleen) Davis; adopted daughter, Christie Yenice; devoted daughter, Stacie (Michael Love) Davis; step-daughter, Loi (Tomas) Acosta; grandchildren, Vanessa, Donnell, Batoul, Bushra, and Kai; great-grandchildren, Idris, Amia, and Briell; former spouse, Lawrie Hubert; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his older brother and his wife Bud and Antoinette Davis, and nephew Tim Davis.

The family will receive guests on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Mass will begin Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr., Toledo, OH 43613.
