Michael J. Brighton

On Tuesday October 30, Michael James Brighton passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55. Mike was born September 8, 1963 to Roy and Judy (Conrad) Brighton in Toledo, Ohio. Mike enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to be outdoors. Regardless if the weather was good or bad you could always find him with a pole in one hand and a beer in the other, fishing any lake, pond or river that he could find. When he was not on the water, Mike loved to be around his friends throwing horse shoes, playing cards, or sitting around the bonfire laughing about old fishing stories. In his younger years, Mike was a talented softball player, always known for his unique talent to hit home runs. In his years on the softball diamond, he forged numerous amounts of lifelong friendships and memories that many will cherish for years to come. Mike will be greatly missed by so many people in his community, and his spirit will live on through all that were lucky enough to call him a friend.


Mike is preceded in death by his father, Roy; mother, Judy and grandmother, Florence. He is survived by the love of his life, Carol Brighton; second mother, Gloria Brighton; brother Doug Brighton; his children, Patrick (Lindsey) Brighton, Shannon (Bradley) Noel and Shaun (Jessica) Young; grandchildren, Micaela, Kaitlyn, Calyn, Zakary, Cameron, Alexander, Benjamin and Carter and many other close family and friends.


No funeral services will be held per Mike's wishes. A private celebration will be held for close family and friends. Newcomer - NW Chapel 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo (419-473-0300) is assisting the family with arrangements.
