Mervin Kreais

Mervin "John" Kreais, age 69, of East Toledo, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Arbors at Toledo Nursing Home. He was born February 23, 1938 to Paul and Eva (Swinehart) Kreais in Wayne Ohio. Mervin was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his sons and friends. He was also a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mervin is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley (Mishka) Kreais; daughters, Ruth (Mark) Chernisky and Deb Rogers; sons, Joe (Neoma) Kreais; Raymond Kreais and Dennis (Jennifer) Kreais; grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Chernisky; Becky; Megan and Michelle Rogers; Jennifer Ware; Michael Bryant Kreais; Samantha; Jonathon; Dennis Jr; Breeze and Brett Kreais; step grandchildren, Kim; Angel; M.C.; Timmy; Theresa and Guy; great grandchildren, Raven and Cecelia; sister, Norma (Jerry) Rutter; special friends, Darcie and Katelynn Pierce and many other extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
