Merilyn J. (Droegmiller) Lynch, age 95, passed away peacefully Friday, January 4, 2019, at Heartland of Oregon. Born in Toledo on Oct. 16, 1923, she was the daughter of Harry A. and Frances H. (Levis) Droegmiller.
A 1942 graduate of Libbey High School, she was a co-owner of LWC Fabrics in Toledo, and later, a 25 year employee of the J.C. Penney Co., working as a Drapery Dept. Selling Specialist at the Franklin Park Mall location.
She was married in Toledo on October 5, 1946 to Thomas Lynch, Jr., son of Thomas and Edna (Sheats) Lynch.
Merilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and in 2004 by her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her children; Steven (Cathy Taylor) and Donna (Charles) Young of Toledo; and Paul (Diane) Lynch of Oregon, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angelique (Jeff) Fouch of Kokomo, IN and Thomas Lynch.
Also left to cherish her memory are Brooke (Reuben) Martinez, Selena Sifuentes; 9 great-granchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to all the aides, employees and nurses at Heartland of Oregon for the care and attention she was given. Also, a big thank you to the employees of Heartland Hospice for the time they spent with mom and her needs that they attended to.
There will be no visitation. Services will be private.
