Meranda N. Van Eeckhoutte

Meranda N. Van Eeckhoutte, age 33, of Toledo, passed away Monday, October 8, 2007 in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. She was born July 26, 1974 to Don and Jacquelyn (Giese) Baker in Toledo. Meranda was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lambertville. Several years ago Meranda worked as a model and then was employed with a local eye clinic. She was a talented writer and composed many beautiful poems. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Meranda was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca and grandfather, Matthew Green. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 3 years, Leon D. Van Eeckhoutte; son, Jacob Baker; stepsons, Remi and James Van Eeckhoutte; grandchildren, Isaac and Syvana Van Eeckhoutte; father, Don (Margie) Baker; brothers, Nolan and Brandon Baker; step-siblings, Kelly (Kenneth) Auger; Kevin (Stephanie) Baker; Keith Baker; Peter (Jennifer) Brough; Joseph (Nikki) Brough; Andrew (Allison) Brough; Jennifer Brough; Jacob Brough and Crimson Brough; grandmother, Nancy Green; grandfather, Kenneth (Pat) Giese; stepfather, Jim Maki and his daughter, Ari; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-6:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) followed by funeral services at 6:00 p.m.
