Melvin B. Stanton Jr.

Melvin B. Stanton Jr., resident of Toledo, OH, passed away on April 21, 2023. Son of the late Melvin Stanton Sr. and Mona Pierce. Husband of Christena Stanton. Father of Melvin Stanton III. Grandfather of Jacob, Josalyn, and Colton Stanton. Great-grandfather of Azalea Swaney-Stanton. Brother of Arthur (Doreen) Stanton, Rickie Houk, Sandra Osentoski, and Robin Porter. Nephew to his favorite "fruncle" Bernard Hartzell. Many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Melvin retired from the UAW after 35 years of service at Jeep. He was limo driver in his earlier years, where he seemed to make an impression on younger family members. Melvin's family meant everything to him. He will be remembered for his good character and giving nature. Mel will be dearly missed by his family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on April 25, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.
