Melissa June Zerby

A beloved Mother, Sister, and Daughter passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024 in Oregon, Ohio. Melissa, known by her family as "Bear" was born on July 20, 1986 in the city of Cleveland, but resided in the East Side of Toledo.

Miss Melissa is survived by her sons, Jamarion, Joshua, JJ, and Noah; her siblings, Cynthia, Dana, Carla, Iris, and Belvin; and her childhood bestfriend for over 20 years, "Paris Harris." She was preceded in death by her mother, Annette Zerby; older sister, Stacey Pettry; and little sister, Darcey Rubino. 

Bear dedicated her life to her family and took joy in being a stay at home mom. She also cherished the moments and memories of being the fiancé of her children's father, Jason Clarke. Together they built a lifetime for over 20 years, and now she leaves behind just our memories of her laughter and smile. 

The family will receive guests on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 4:00 until 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Sharing of Memories will begin at 5:00 pm.
