Melissa A. Hendricks Luce, age 45 of McComb, Ohio, formerly of Maumee, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2024.

Melissa graduated from Maumee High School in 1997. She lived in Maumee most of her life and was an excellent cook and decorator. She worked at Dales Bar & Grill in Maumee for 14 years where she made so many friends along the way, before taking a managerial position at a cleaning company.

She met the love of her life, Joe, and they married February 3, 2023; shortly after they found their little piece of paradise in McComb, OH, where they enjoyed their beautiful property together.

Melissa was full of life, love and laughter. She was best known for her contagious laugh. Melissa was a best friend to everyone and the backbone of her family.

Her greatest gift of life was her beautiful daughter, Brooklyn, who was her everything. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to many.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Joe Luce; mother, Sandra (Karl) Marshall; daughter, Brooklyn Mendoza (John Henry); Sister, Courtney (John) Morrin; brother, Bradley (Leslie) Hendricks; nephew, Mason Hendricks and niece, Tatum Hendricks. Also surviving are her faithful canine companions, Kobe and Doug.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hendricks; grandparents, Frank & Geraldine Hendricks and Bill & Bonnie Richards; and uncles, Bill Hendricks and Randy Richards.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 4:00-8:00PM. A service celebrating Melissa’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
