Melanie Sondergeld

Melanie R. Sondergeld, age 69, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, February 11th, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born November 27th, 1940 to Robert and Lillian Love in Butler, Pennsylvania. Melanie was employed with M&M Restaurant Supply for 18 years, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed gardening and going to craft shows. Most importantly she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and friends.

In addition to her parents, Melanie was preceded in death by her husband, David Sondergeld and grandson, Joseph. She is survived by be her son, Robert R. Walborn; daughters, Kim (Fred) Rickard and Laurie (Mike) Walborn; grandchildren, Kyle; Eric and Megan; great granddaughter, Kyleigh; sister, LaRue (Jim) Fouta and best friend, Shirley Mickens.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
