Melanie Bruce

Melanie Bruce, age 62, of Toledo, passed away on October 10, 2022. She loved to spend time with and play with her only grandson, Brody. She was a very talented gardener, her flowers were unlike any others and were beyond beautiful. Melanie also enjoyed listening to music and frequenting concerts. She also enjoyed being outdoors, she loved spending time in her yard and being on the boat. Melanie was well-known for her Christmas spirit, decorating everything and hand tying a bow on every single gift. She was a very loving and caring person, she saw beauty in everything and everyone, and her tender heart will be missed.

Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Hunter Glass and Patsy Glass; in-laws, Louis and Lois Bruce; and brother-in-law, Scott (Becky) Bruce. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, Randy Bruce; children, Jennifer (Joe) Kidder, Kristin Bruce, and Mark Bruce; grandson, Brody; siblings, Robert (Wendy) Glass and Beverly (Ken) Dyer; sister-in-law. Debbie (Louie) Nemer; brothers-in-law, Louie Bruce, Mike (Christine) Bruce, and Matt Bruce; nieces and nephews, Quinnlynn, Monica, Brittany (Rachel), Derrick, Michelle, Emily (Kurt), Hannah, Sarah (Dawn), Sean, Kevin (November), John, James (Cayley), Jacob, and Josh; as well as many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 pm.
