Mazen I. Karam

Age 17, of Toledo, was received into the hands of God's Holy Angels on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at The Toledo Hospital.

Mazen was born August 3, 1992 to Issa & Thana Karam.

Mazen will be remembered for his laughter & smile. He loved being with his family, especially his sisters & Uncle George. Mazen will always be remembered for his love and compassion for others. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters Lama & Yara, his Uncle George who resides with him; & grandparents Peter & Kamaleh who reside in Syria. He is also survived by many relatives in Syria & Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents & his first cousin in Canada.

The family will receive guests from 4-9pm, Thursday, with Trisagion Prayers offered at 8:30pm at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 4150 W. Laskey Rd – 419-473-0300. Trisagion Prayers will be offered again at 9:45 am on Friday at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Friday 10:30am at St. Elias Orthodox Christian Church, 4940 Harroun Rd, Sylvania with V. Rev. Fr. Paul Albert officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

If desired, the family would like contributions to either St. Elias Church or to the family to assist St. Saba Church in Marmarita, Syria.
