Maxine P. Stark, age 95, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 11th, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born June 27th, 1916 to Hollie R. and Nora M. (Jordan) Dull in Beatrice, Nebraska. Maxine was a 1934 graduate of Woodward High School. She was employed with the DeVilbis Company during WWII and continued her career with Schmidt Provision Meat Company of Toledo and Shank Colby and Neo Products both of Erie, Michigan. Maxine retired in 1974, after working as a Secretary with Smokey Canyon Products for 27 years. She was a member of National Secretary's Association for many years, as well as a lifetime member of the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary in Erie, Michigan. Maxine and her late husband, Aaron "Mike", enjoyed traveling and playing golf. They also looked forward to spending their winters in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was also an avid sports fan and lover of animals. Maxine considered herself fortunate to have many great lifelong friends and was devoted to continuing and supporting these friendships throughout several generations.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Aaron "Mike" Stark and sister, Phyllis Maxfield. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Wayne) Ludwig; grandson, Brian (Kim) Ludwig; great grandsons, Christopher, Branden and Cameron Ludwig and Brandon Rahman and great-great grandson, Carson Ludwig. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews; nearest niece, Billie Mulherin and special caregivers, Pam Grodi and Mickey Hall.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
