Maureen A. Williams

Maureen A. Williams, age 90, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was born on August 3, 1931 to Maurice and Helen (Snyder) Redding in Toledo. Maureen graduated from Notre Dame Academy. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. Maureen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed sewing, gardening, bird watching, playing Bridge, and spending time on the boat. Maureen loved animals, especially horses, cats and dogs. She liked doing crosswords and spending time with her family and friends. Maureen's smile, spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish Maureen's memory are her loving children, Matthew T. (Kimberlea) Williams C.P.A., Michael A. (Melinda) Williams DO, Mark A. (Marjorie) Williams, James A. (Kristine) Williams DO, Elaine A. "Lainie" (Terry) Timpe and Susanne M. "Sue" (Keith) Hanf; 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Dr. Thomas John Williams DO; grandson, T.J. Williams; and 3 brothers.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 4 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo (419-392-9500). Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St., Sylvania, OH. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
