Maureen Genevieve Raab

It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to our baby sister. Maureen left her earthly home to join her heavenly family, including parents Robert and Dorothy Raab; brothers Dennis and Tom Raab; brother in-laws Ted Regent and Don Kirkham; along with her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. 

Maureen graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1989. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Toledo in 1993.

For the last 24 years, Maureen was a devoted second-grade teacher at Christ the King School. Her passion for education and commitment to her faith were evident in her work. She took immense pride in preparing her students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. 

Maureen loved traveling, going on ghost tours, and cruising with her family and close friends Lisa, Laurie, Julie, and Eric. She found joy in spreading happiness with her famous JELL-O shots. Aunt "Mo" became the favorite aunt to her 12 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she lovingly spoiled with love and sugar—before sending them back home.

In addition to her cherished nieces, nephews, and their families, Maureen is survived by her siblings: Dan (Mary) Raab, Colleen Regent, Terry Kirkham, Jim (Shari) Raab, and Rose (Olaf) Gerhardt.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all those she touched. Please join the family in celebrating Maureen's life. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who was a part of her journey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20th, from 1:00–8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio.The funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 21st, at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio. Visitation in the narthex will begin at 9:30 AM, with a luncheon to follow immediately after the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to Christ the King SCHOOL in honor of Maureen.
